We have had many people say we should charge something for
running this pool, or offer to give us some extra money. Unfortunately to keep
this legal, we have to pay out 100% of the fees to the participants. But,
there’s nothing to prevent us from selling stuff! So, this year we are offering
souvenirs for sale, to help defray some of the costs of running the website.
Rather than the boring old t-shirts & coffee mugs, we wanted
to offer something a little different. Note that this does not mean we won’t
offer boring old t-shirts or coffee mugs sometime in the future… but this year
we are offering a set of three poker chips, featuring the King of the Hill
logo. These are real clay casino chips, custom made by ASM, who supply casinos
around the world. Each chip is handmade, by placing bits of colored clay in the
notched out area of the base piece of clay. Then the graphic inserts are placed
on them before they go to the press and then finally the oven.
If you’d like a set of these, they are going for the low, low
price of $9.50.
And for you big spenders, we also have available a limited number
of $20 chips. The cost of this chip is-- $20 bucks.
The reverse side of the chips features a football with the
denomination in the middle.
So, there we are- this year’s souvenir selection- a set of 3
poker chips for 9.50 or 4 for 29.50. Add onto your koth signup or pay
separately.
